About Me

Hello!

My name is Hosanna and I just wanted to say thank you for stopping by.
I started up this blog because I wanted to share with others a part of my journey with the hopes that you would be encouraged and challenged by the Lord's work. There are a lot of details I could write down to describe myself, but God has been changing my heart and revealing to me how much of life is not about me. My body will fade, this world will fall, and the material pursuits that our society has idolized are frivolous. However, our God is good. He is a strong refuge, a solid foundation, His character does not change for he is already the standard of perfection. This is my Lord and I can not help but praise Him for He is also my savior.

Praise be to God I once was lost, but now I'm found. I once was blind, but now I see. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, has saved a wretch like me.

I pray that the words you find on this site would be an encouragement to you, and spur you on to seek out the love of our heavenly Father.

Costa Rica Adventure

I am excited to share with you a wonderful opportunity that I have this coming year, in Costa Rica. To provide some history, I began college two years ago with the goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. I am very happy to say that this Spring I reached the half way mark and graduated with an AA in pre-nursing. I am so thankful for this time, and the way that God has used it to sharpen me and draw me closer to Him. One of the ways God has challenged and grown me has been through my involvement and leadership in campus ministry and mentoring friends in small Bible Study groups. God’s grace, faithful love, and His passion for myself and others to know Him in a deeper way continues to amaze me each day as I have learned to lean on Him through whatever circumstance. As a result my desire to study the Bible more and develop ministry skills has grown.

As I was praying with my parents about what God’s next step was for me, Dad shared about a Latin American ministry that develops young leaders through Bible classes, ministry service and intensive study of Spanish within the culture. I applied, and was selected by SCORE International to be a part of the GAP Year Program in Costa Rica. I am very excited at the opportunity to learn, serve, and grow in my walk with God and become better equipped for the next part of this adventure of life.
